What we collect
We collect the minimum necessary to run DaisyHug:
- Account data: email address, chosen display name
- Usage data: which features you use, when (not what you write)
- Mood data: if you choose to track it, stored encrypted and used only to generate your personal insights
- Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card details
What we never collect
- The content of your journal entries or conversations with Daisy
- Your precise location
- Your contacts, microphone, or camera (unless you explicitly grant permission for a specific feature)
How we use your data
- To operate and improve DaisyHug
- To generate your personal wellbeing insights (this processing happens on your device where possible)
- To communicate with you about your account (you can opt out of non-essential emails)
Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted sub-processors to operate DaisyHug (cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery). We have data processing agreements with all of them. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for commercial purposes.
Your rights
Under GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your data at any time. You can exercise these rights from Settings in the app, or by emailing privacy@daisyhug.com.

What DaisyHug is
DaisyHug is a wellness tool, not a medical device, therapy service, or crisis line. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care. By using DaisyHug, you acknowledge this.
Your account
You must be 18 or over to use DaisyHug. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Acceptable use
Please use DaisyHug kindly. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer the app, use it to harm others, or create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits.
Subscriptions & refunds
Plus subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime in Settings. If you're unhappy with a charge, email billing@daisyhug.com — we'll always try to find a fair resolution.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, DaisyHug is provided "as is". We are not liable for any harm arising from your use of the app, or from our service being unavailable.
Changes to these terms
We'll notify you by email at least 30 days before any material changes. Continued use after that point constitutes acceptance.
